After less more than five weeks of work, I am pleased to announce that I have finished the final draft of my new thriller fiction novel that connects Spain with Vietnam. In this time I have managed to close a story produced in record time and that is the first result of my stay in Vietnam this year.
I have done it reaching the figure of 509 pages and 153,000 words. This is a personal record, when you compare this to what I achieved with the production of the final draft of Mark of Odin: Ragnarok. Back then, last year, it took me two and a half months to produce 630 pages and 240,000 words. To be honest, I still can’t believe that I was able to give birth to this child in such a short time.
Throughout these weeks, every day that I have been completing a chapter I have wanted to share it on my social networks with the code name “Declassified Files”. As you can see below, there have been 23 chapters plus prologue and epilogue.
In parallel to the production of these final draft chapters, I have had an active bug review and story feedback group, which has been working at the same time than me. The reactions of this working group are being very positive and they are helping me to improve the novel remarkably. Also, last week I launched a Beta for my readers of Mark of Odin books, with which they can read the prologue and the first two chapters for free. Initial feedback has been very promising as well. In fact, you can still sign up if you want to taste the beginning of this new story by filling out this form (I’m afraid is only available in Spanish).
Now begins the next phase of production of the novel. As you may have noticed, I have not yet revealed its title. I plan to do it very soon, as soon as its website is ready. Also, while I continue working on the revisions of the draft, I will be preparing the first edition and layout. With it I hope to be able to print a first test copy with my partners, Printcolor.
With all this, I hope to be able to prepare an early pre-order campaign that will be available in October if all goes well. In it, readers will be able to acquire an exclusive collector’s edition of this new novel, which will be personalized with their names and numbered for them. I will also look at the possibility of including additional extras depending on how the early pre-order campaign evolves. Stay tuned for upcoming news.
There is less left for you to enjoy with this new story with which I assure you that you will be very thrilled while discovering Vietnam in such a way that you end up falling in love with the country as I have!
