Life Below will be the next video game from Megapop Games

My colleagues at Megapop Games have announced that Life Below will be our next video game release (in 2026) and the first we’ll be co-launching with a third-party publisher, Kasedo Games. This is great news, as for the first time, we won’t be publishing a title independently, but rather alongside a company already well-established in this field, having published hit titles like Ixon and Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus I and II.

Life Below is a city-building game that allows players to rebuild the ecosystems of the Earth’s ocean floor. This innovative underwater reef builder will be available on Steam PC sometime in 2026, though you can try its free demo for a limited time right now on Steam.

Life Below, which is set to release next year, has already received praise, including an honorable mention in the Unity for Humanity grants. This grant recognizes games that leverage technology to generate social impact and build a more equitable, inclusive, and sustainable world. Life Below also aims to be one of the most accessible city-building games ever. The game is being developed in collaboration with the consulting firm Arevya, and the charity SpecialEffect is involved in evaluating the game’s accessibility features and advising on how to effectively implement them.

It is a great pleasure for me to be able to contribute to the development and future launch of Life Below and I look forward to sharing important developments regarding this project as they occur.
