Mark of Odin saga is now celebrating its 13th anniversary, and with it the transmedia literary universe of XaviVerso, where all my books are connected. It was on Wednesday, July 12, 2012, that I decided to introduce the entire world to Mark of Odin: The Awakening and my innovative literary model, which fused the reading experience with an online platform featuring gamification features and an extended transmedia universe. Since then, more than 183,000 readers from around the world have joined the #MarkedbyOdin movement, with Mark of Odin: The Awakening being the Top 1 Science Fiction book more than 100 times already. They have also been moved by the thriller The Stone Lotus or surprised and critically reflected by Yes, They Will Pass!
To celebrate, as usual, I wanted to share a new Letter from the Author with my fans and a video to summarize everything we’ve achieved in these thirteen years and reveal important news for this dream I cherish so much.
Dealing with a project of this nature, independently, refusing to be under the umbrella of a major publishing house or media group, was dismissed as sheer madness by many. Many people told me I should give up on my dream, that I was going to fail. But as the stubborn soul that I am, I decided to forge ahead against all odds, and here we are, continuing to fight to make my stories and intellectual properties entertain readers in more and more parts of the world. And I do so knowing that the best is yet to come, as I have only scratched the surface of the potential of my books.
On this 13th anniversary, I wanted to confirm that the English edition of Mark of Odin: Ragnarok will be published this summer and, most importantly, I’ve revealed the title of the next book in the XaviVerso: In Rare Earths. It’s a new action thriller starring intelligence agent Carla Romero and will continue the timeline of the 2nd Line of the XaviVerso. That is, it will continue the story established in ‘The Stone Lotus‘ and ‘Yes, They Will Pass!‘. As I explained in my Letter from the Author, I’ve decided to bring forward this novel that I had planned for a year or two from now, having realized that current events are increasingly resembling several of the premises of the story I conceived for this fiction more than two years ago.
As I mentioned, ‘In Rare Earths‘ will once again put us in the shoes of Carla Romero who, after following an old lead to settle an outstanding debt that continues to torment her, will find herself embroiled in a race against time to confront a conspiracy of unsuspected proportions that, if not stopped, will lead to a global conflict that will end the world as we know it. This story will be much larger than that of ‘The Stone Lotus’, which will focus more on action and will show the influence of the master Tom Clancy.
And after this new thriller, I hope to finally tackle the fourth book in the ‘Mark of Odin‘ saga, which, although I’m dying to share, requires a lot of time, care, and calm. Something I hope to be able to do in greater quantity and quality in the future. Right now, I have several open fronts that are preventing me from having time. In addition to XaviVerso, I’m focused on developing different projects. On the one hand, in the field of video games, I continue to direct the magazine GoMultiplayer and support the video game studio Megapop Games, with which I launched Trolls vs Vikings: Reborn in March and announced our next big title for 2026: Life Below. On the other hand, I continue to actively support the Barbaros Group Food & Beverages group, with the Barbaros restaurant in Hanoi, Vietnam, as the main flagship. This latter requires me to travel to Vietnam frequently.
Looking ahead to this new year, I will continue to strive to ensure that my books are read by more readers, in more languages, and I will continue to aspire to their success, sooner or later, allowing them to make the leap to audiovisual formats such as film, series, animation, and video games, which is my ultimate dream. To finish, I want to thank all the readers and people who have supported me over the years. As I always say, remember, everything is connected.
